Happy Spring! With trees beginning to bud and warmer temperatures on the way, our bodies naturally start to crave lighter foods such as raw fruits and vegetables and we need less dense hearty meals to keep us warm and grounded. This time of year I find myself opting for vibrant raw smoothies and salads balanced with warming vegetable based soups, energizing protein sources and immunity boosters like ginger, apple cider vinegar and lemon. These are some of the ingredients that make up the delicious recipes in our 5-Day Spring Renewal Cleanse starting April 3rd. Here is a little sneak peak of just one of the 25 recipe options included in this year's cleanse meal plan!
Spring Green Smoothie
- 1 cups coconut water (or water)
- 1 cup spinach, kale or mixed greens
- 1/2 medium avocado
- 1/2 cup fresh pineapple
- 1 small banana
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds
Blend until smooth. Enjoy!
